Accident repair specialist FMG Repair Services has expanded its network with the opening of a new, high-tech repair centre in Cardiff. The facility enhances capacity in the region while introducing specialist light commercial vehicle (LCV) capability and a dedicated fast-track repair solution for minor damage, complementing their mobile repair offering.
Located on the Llandough Trading Estate to the west of the city, the new Bodyshop offers convenient access to Cardiff’s major road networks. It replaces the company’s previous Ely site, with the experienced team of skilled technicians relocating to the new premises.
The 20,000 sq. ft facility has undergone a comprehensive redevelopment to create a modern, spacious environment equipped with advanced repair technology. The site is designed and is fully equipped to handle LCVs, electric vehicles (EVs), and hybrids.
The Bodyshop features 28 repair bays, on-site ADAS calibration technology, and dedicated equipment for plastic and aluminium repairs. A newly introduced fast-track repair service will accelerate turnaround times for minor damage, supported by a Tempo spray booth system that reduces vehicle movement by bringing the booth directly to the car.
Paul Wrigglesworth, Managing Director at FMG Repair Services, said: 'Our new Cardiff Bodyshop represents a significant investment in delivering efficient, high-quality and future-ready repair solutions. The facility has been equipped to support modern vehicle technologies and materials, ensuring we continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
This expansion reflects our long-term strategy to operate from scalable, high-performance sites in key locations. We look forward to welcoming both new and existing customers to our Cardiff facility.'
